How do I get the old brake pads out on my 2000 Ram?

Unbolt the caliper and pull it off and the pads will come off. Its a #47 torx bit for my Ram

Phantom, if in doubt, order a factory service manual for the best technical info out there. if you want general basics, you could get away with a chilton's manual or something.

I figured it out, the caliper comes apart into two peices. never seen this before, but what can i say, i only changed out the brakes on chevys before.
