We have an 01 2500, my wives truck, and when you try pulling her into 4wd while going over about 15 to 20 mph she grinds like no tomorrow? Is there something different with this year of truck? My 03, our other 98 you can just pull her in while going down the road.. Thanks guys
I have an 01 Cummins also and it just goes in to 4x4 up to about 30 mph, this is high range of course, low range goes in at a very slow roll. Just let of the go pedal for a second and pop it in is what I do.
synchronizer might be shot, needs to be looked into. most common problem is wrong fluid. it takes atf4. change the fluid first
