Yes,broke crankshaft 2 weeks ago but had detonation the whole time, was runnin 10:3 to 1 aia believe with a 62 cc iron head.Goin with another piston with a 64 cc chamber will give me 9.6 to 1.
210/220@ 108,got the wrong pistons, this truck weighs 8000 lbs,was told 9.1 to 1 would work real good in it,just lookin for some info, also has iron heads.
I think the 9.1:1 compression was stock for the 360. The motor that I'm building now is a stroked 408 with a compression of 10.1:1. I'm told with the right tune I shouldn't have any problems with detonation. I plan to use the RHS heads done up from IMM Engines. www.immengines.com
iirc 9:1 is stock 360, except your crushing the 408! save the cylinders, do the repairs needed, have the heads backed off, & work on the tune; imo. so close! perhaps the injectors are too small. better too big than too small.
