Hey guys I'm in need of opinions. I screwed up the pinion bearing and the clutches in my rear axle last summer and to rebuild it's gonna cost me about 800 bucks. What I'm thinking of doing is replacing my axle instead of rebuilding it. It'll cost me about the same to get an axle from a 2003 and up ram with the rear discs on it. Will it fit under the rear of my SS/T?

measure it. it should fit but not without a little modification to the brakes, and suspension mounting brackets.

The width should be ok. It should just be a matter of adapting the disc brakes in place of the drum i.e cables for e brake and lines etc. The biggest concern should be the size of the wheels you're running right now. I believe the rear disc on the newer rams are near 13" in dia. which should require at least a 17" wheel to clear them.
