Question Fuel sending unit for a 36 Gallon 79 b300

I've been piecing back together the fuel system on this old van we're converting into an apocalypse mobile and things just aren't quite right.

For starters the fuel sending unit isn't the original, and since I didn't take it apart, I haven't a clue how it was setup before.

I have full diagrams of the original setup where the fuel sending unit had 3 lines coming into it, my issue is the one in there only has connections for two lines assuming one is the feed and one is the return that leaves the line coming from the gas fill tube dangling with no where to go.

Any ideas or, better yet anyone have the original part?

also need a replacement rollover valve, the seal is dried and cracked.

I have the diagram to share, but figured I shouldn't post the haynes manual diagram publicly.

Im confused, are we talking about wiring for the sending unit or fuel line plumbing?
