I did, they both turn smoothly and easily, as does the ps pump. Although the alt. is the original one that came on the truck. I have someone in the R/T club sending me a comp., to try. Since my system isn't charged right now, it'll be a simple swap. If the noise goes away, I'll charge it up and have at it. I did the old screwdriver to the ear trick, with each of the accessories as they were turning. The noise was noticeably louder with the screwdriver on the compressor. The thing that kills me is that the truck has been sitting for almost a year, and it was fine before I put the new motor in a couple of weeks ago.

My other truck is an R/T

If the truck was setting that long, you may have a dry spot on one of the bearings. I've seen GI's go nuts looking for noises like that and just about the time they're ready to start changing everything out, it stops and it's just purrs. I've also seen where the same thing, the same problem, cause a part to fail and the GI asked for the old part, then asked to borrow a two pound hammer, and then went outside a smash the part until his arm was sore.

Please let us all know what you find, OK?
