Installing clamps on both ends(many vehicles only have one end clamped), to INSURE perfect seal of overflow/REFILL hose to nipples on BOTH the rad and reserve tank; so UNWANTED air is not "sucked in" during the slowwwww(a few hrs) refill cycle.
.. Air leaks here rarely "if ever" show up as coolant leaks, and are almost impossible to find/diagnose. A good hose "clamped at both ends" eliminates one possible or future problem. Maybe a fix, but always cheap insurance.

I had the same issues with our 04'. The cheap ass factory tension hose clamps were not holding tight enough & allowed air into system somehow. Replaced with 8 SSteel hose clamps & no more problems. I replaced the 4 on the upper/lower rad hoses & the 2 heater core hoses. What a PITA.

Hear ya Twin, and the res tank, overflow/refill hose and "2" clamps are so often taken for granted; TILL THE REFILL BITES YA!!!

Are those the big fat clamps? Those things are great.

I had to double clamp the hoses on my Ford P/S until I found the big wide clamps.

The regular clamp were leaking; that's why I was double clamping. I found a set of clamps that were almost 3/4" wide and that worked for the P/S. My Dodge has the regular clamps.
