440 rb

Just got the deal of a lifetime. A 68 rb 440 with matching heads and all seems too good to b true spent 800 and it came w 727 3 speed trans and 2 carbs and all the brackets. I think it came out of a charger or cuda how do i find out? Thanks

Going to put this beast in my old family truck. A 58 stepside. Anyone have parts for this truck?

Look on the drivers side just above where the pan seals to the block. Back then the vin# was stamped into the block and the trans.

Your probably a lot better versed on the castings than I am however on my 69 Charger with a 4 speed the engine has a vin sequence but there is only a code that you can decode to get the year not a full vin. Neither here nor there but in case he can’t find a vin on the tranny.

Hey 440rb. Right above the oil pan On the right side of the block, there casting numbers which will tell you what year it is and above that, you can see a 440 stampted into it w/hp.
