Finished!

Although I haven't any pictures yet, I do have the install finished. These. Things. Pound. It took some tweaking with low pass crossovers and the like to get it where my tastes are. They hit hard, and the beauty is, they sound phenomenal! All the quality of the 10w6's I had previously, but BIGGER. You can tell that there are monsters lurking in the back, hidden from sight.

Where they are at now, the sound perfect, not too much bass, not too little. I have no idea how loud these thing can go, as my tolerance for pain gets reached too soon. The components are only playing frequencies above 120 Hz, so they can get extremely loud as well (were playing full range when the subs were MIA).

Using a bass test cd, this thing hits much lower and harder than I expected. At one point, it was actually interfering with my breathing. VERY glad the whole truck is dynomatted.

Ended up buying them from a real cool guy on craigslist, after getting lied to by 2 internet companies (who told me they were in stock, but days later found out they weren't).

All in all, if I had to rate these things, there is no doubt they would be a 10 out of 10. Plenty loud, excellent sq. I highly recomend these.

Cool

Ive been using these subs now for just over a month, and finally have them tuned right. I couldn't be any happier with them. They sound phenomenal, and have extremely accurate bass. Needless to say, the get loud, and deep. I took the subs out yesterday, due to an air leak (t-nuts really are a PITA). Now that ive got it all fixed up, they sound 10x better. Obviously these arent meant for spl, but they sure do get loud (when you turn it up on a bass test track, it sounds like you're standing under a large helicopter).

I increased the angle of the back seat bottoms by about 3 or 4 degrees, and that greatly helped the sound quality (air would push the leather on the seats back and fourth rapidly, creating a slapping sound). When the day comes to buy another truck (way down the road), ill give it a look over to make sure i can fit these in there. Audio is that important to me.

On a side note, the back seats are still useable, but you either need to be short, or hunched over.

Wonder why my gf likes it back there so much now...

Garage
Looks nice! I blew a pair of 10s cause the subs were hitting the seat. At volume the subs didn't have enough room for excursion and there went the voice coils..
