I took the factory handles off my bed cap because I didn't think they were to sturdy, and now I want to put on new ones. I removed the handles and I don't know what I could use to fill on the holes and also have them be sealed.
I would think the easiest thing to do would be to get a piece of aluminum or stainless and cut out a shape to match what was there (an oval?) and then seal it in place. It would cover up the holes and be water tight. I guess JB Weld or something similar, a trip to the local hardware store would provide plenty of choices I would assume.
Stop by your favorite body shop and see if they have some inserts that will fit the unwanted holes. That would be the cheapest way I can think of for that type of metal.
Thanks for all the ideas. I think I will do the blots since they seem the easiest and wont look to bad.
