Key Fob issues

The question is has anyone else had problems with there key fobs?
The following problem doesn't happen every day but is enough to be concerning and aggravating.
My issue starts when you insert the key fob. There are times when you turn the ignition switch to the start position and absolutely nothing happens, literally nothing, no dash lights, no engine start. Then you try it again and nothing happens. Then you pull the key fob out of the ignition switch and then insert the key fob back in and turn, then the truck will start.
The first service attempt at my local dealer was to replace the ignition switch module and reflash both key fobs to solve the afore mentioned problems. But to no avail the same problems are back after four days.
The second attempt at my local dealer involved replacing the RF module ( per FCA) and reflashing both key fobs. But the same problems are back(with in 24hours), but with a new twist. It will pull the no response, no start issue now when I am away somewhere. My main concern now is, will it not recognized the key fob when I'm driving down the road and the truck dies in the middle of the road.
I really like my Ram 1500 as I have just over 22k on it and this problem is driving me crazy.

Hi 16Ram4x4,

I certainly understand your desire to reach a solution for this concern. Are you thinking you'd like to get a second opinion? Send me a direct message if this is the route you'd like to take as I'd be glad to help with that process.

Garage
I have experienced a lessor version of this where I insert fob, turn to start and there is a hesitation that varies in length before the engine cranks. I have never had to remove and reinsert the fob as you have.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Quad Cab sb 4x4 w/ the remote start. Also I am having the exact same issue with my truck. I even made a video of it to show the garage. IMHO, the problem seems to be in the fob itself. When I insert it, 90% of the time it starts without any issues. But that remaining bit it just sits there like the battery is disconnected. (FYI: battery fine) It doesn't matter how many times I turn the key, nothing. But if I take the fob out of the ignition, tap it a couple times, it starts right up. I've never had a time when it didn't work. Once the truck is running, I never have an issue. I can't offer any other solution since I haven't gotten around to get it looked at, even though I have only 23,000 miles on it and purchased the 100K mile extended warranty. Anyway, that my 2 cents. Check on youtube for "2016 ram 1500 no start" and you'll find my 22sec video.

I will be sure to look for your video on YouTube. So far I haven't had to tap or shake the fob to get to work. The fob batteries are good as I have checked them with a voltmeter and even wiped them off before putting them back into the fob.
