fuel filler neck hose P/N??

ok, so i'm needing to replace the hose that connects the filler neck to the gas tank on my truck (see my signature for details, ask if you need more). however, i can't seem to locate any info on it anywhere & 2 of the local parts stores have been of no help to me (i plan to hit the others up later this week). i figured if anyone may have an idea as to what the P/N is for this preformed hose or if simply using some cut-to-fit fuel hose will work just the same, it would be someone here. at any rate, i've included a photo of the hose here for visual reference. also, there's a red line with SN460 & 2K31B imprinted on the side of the hose that i took off… if that means anything to ya. (i've googled hell outta every variation of those numbers i could think of to no avail.) thanks for any help you're able to provide!

erm, yeah, of course…*who doesn't start their searches there these days LOL. i even mentioned doing so in my OP. i not only googled the P/N but also any way i could think of wording "fuel filler neck hose for 1978 dodge d150" to see what i would get. i was looking for that specific preformed hose before going with a more generic universal one, which is why i posted here for info, since i wasn't having any luck with google or local parts stores.

i did come across that site & thought they had some viable options. however, i ended up getting a gates hose (P/N 23930) from o'reilly auto. it's corrugated & worked out great. (i did have to massage this "fin" on the underside of the bed to keep it from rubbing after getting some pressure in it tho.) i've had it on for a couple of months now &, so far, my leak appears to have been resolved. i wanted to have it on for a while before replying to this post to make sure that was the issue & that it works as it should.

so, if anyone is in the same boat as i was, this may very well be what you need. unfortunately, it's not exactly cheap (about $28) & you end up having to cut over ½ of it off, but it still seems to work great for my application. hope this is able to help someone down the road.

Just noticed mine was split today when I went to fill her up. Auto parts places are difficult as most can't find it in the system. I had to measure the hose diameter myself and just find a matching one at the store and luckily they had one that fit. Problem is cutting it down you'll need a tool that can cut through the metal reinforcement on the inside of the hose. I also heard that you need to be careful, the hose has to be somewhat flexible else it would just crack. Hope you find it. I got mine at O'reilly's. And it was free because someone took off the part number. Luck was on my side there.
