I wouldn't put anything that you put on a burger into a transmission. I couldn't resist the fast-food comparison of what other things are in transmission fluid that break-down. (I suppose I should of explained it as spices instead.)
Anyway, ATF+4 is fully synthetic and required 2001 up. It's also a compatible replacement for ATF+3 (also called type 7176) which is a synthetic blend.
