Does anyone know where I could find a write-up on this swap? My 97 2500 4x4 has a bad torque converter, and I'm not a big fan of Automatics anyway, so I'm considering trying to start putting together the parts to do this swap. Ebay could be a good source, but I have several local boneyards that I could look into as well. I'd need the 4500 series trans for my 360, don't know about my transfer case, cross member, ETC.

Thanks.

Do a search here on the site for "transmission swap." There is one thread on it.

I am planning on doing the same thing in my 99 1500 5.9. I'm going to use the NV3500 though as I won't need the granny low and the 3500 should be strong enough to handle a lightly modded 360.

When I do mine, I'm going to create a writeup on it including tons of 56K killing pics, but due to finances, it's going to be a while.
