I drove 200 miles from sacramento to santa cruz and got 25.0 going there. Then filled up with b100 biodiesel and got 25.3 on the way home. I think that is the best I can do I was in the right lane doing 50-55 mph the whole time haha. I will try this test again when I pump some bolt ons on the truck. I am thinking banks exhaust first. I also changed all my fluids to royal purple I dont know if that really helps but I think that 25.3 mpg is good for that size truck.

I get about 20-21 with my '97 empty, got about 15-16 pulling a 19 foot horse trailer. The 97 is a 5 spd.

In my '05 auto 4 wd I get 20-21 highway, 17-18 empty, and 13-14 pulling a 36 foot horse trailer and horses.

As for the propane, I see the kits online, but I found a site with DIY instructions and plan on putting it in my '97 as soon as I get the time. It seems simple enough. Tank, valve, adjustable regulator set to 4 psi max, hose to air box, adjust regulator for a little less than pinging.

Don't know about the horse power boost, but the better burn should mean better mileage.

Trying to remember where Starkweather, ND is. Where is it in relation to Minot or Bismarck?
