Gauge cluster replacement

I am having an issue with my fuel gauge reading empty and throwing a check engine light and 0462 code. I’ve replaced both fuel pumps/sending units already and still it acts up and I’ve been told it’s the cluster. If I get another cluster used from the same year will it work without having to reprogram everything?? Needing to know asap
