Is 2015 Dart reliable?

I plan to buy a new 2015 Dart as my second car. For the SXT model, I got a quota about $16787 from local dealers. It is not the best one compared with some shared prices by others in autopriceshare. However, I think it is fair for me and the dealer both. My last car is 2002 Civic and it is really reliable. For the 2015 Dart, I am not familiar with it. Compared some specialists' reviews, I trust the opinions from current owners more. In your opinion, is 2015 Dart SXT reliable? Thanks, friends

i have a 2013 rallye as a commuter car it has about 19,000 miles on it and has been a solid car. the interior plastics were a little rattly but some dynamat on the inside of the door panels shut it right up.

I bought my daughter a 2013 with the 2.0L and she now has 75K on it and it hasn't been back to the dealer except for oil changes.

2015 SXT is my wife's car. Good lookin' little thing. We've had it about 6 mos with about 5k on it. Been good so far. I will say the transmission is rough, holds onto the RPMs too long for my liking. other than that, it's been a good car.

oil consumption

I have a 2014 sxt with the ralley package. Damn thing used oil at about a qt every 2k miles. They tell me this is normal. It is not. If I had known this car would use oil, I would never have purchased it. I am not pleased It only has about 10k miles on it. Ive had maybe 10 or 12 brand new cars in my lifetime and not one has used oil in the first 100k miles and more. When Ive talked to the dealers about this they tell me dodge will not do a thing for me. Wish I had purchased a Hyundai.

We currently have 2 in the family and we are on our 2nd. My son has a 2013 GT with a 2.4 and auto, no issues with this car to date with 35000 on the odometer. We had a 2013 Aero 1.4 with DDC auto. We traded up to a 2015 GT with 2.4 auto for a couple of reasons. The 13 Aero was great in terms of MPG as my wife averaged 47 MPG in town driving, and I got 51 MPG on long trips. The downside to the 13 Aero was that we had a glitch in the touch screen that they could never resolve. The screen would go blank for 5-10 seconds about 1 or 2 times a month. Found out that this is common to the 13's only. Other reason is that the 1.4 requires a spark-plug change every 25000 at about $100 just for the plugs (only Mopar or Fiat sells them). Also the 1.4 is a timing belt motor with a service interval of 150000. The big kicker was the fact the the DDC auto behind the 1.4 is still considered a manual transmission in terms of warranty, so a lot of components are not covered. The 2.4 motor is a world platform engine with good reliability. It is also a timing chain motor so no belt to worry about. Love the GT as it handle good and the auto is smooth in its shifts. Ride is a little tighter because of the suspension setup. Maintenance schedule is also a lot cheaper than the 1.4. Only downside with our new GT is that my wife averages around 29 MPG now. Whatever you decide, make sure you get the racetrack tail-lamps, its one of the coolest parts of the car. We picked ours up with all options except the technology group (blind spot detection, HID) for $18500 with discounts, rebates, and lifetime warranty. Hope this info helps.

Take it to the dealer and have them perform an oil consumption test, then contact Chrysler Customer Service file a complaint and ask for a factory Rep to evaluate the vehicle. if the problem is not resolved by the end of 3 documented complaints the lemon law kicks in..... Usually when a Factory Rep gets involved things get done.... Chrysler REALLY does not want unhappy customers
