Dodge 4.7 issue.
1) I have replaced the timing gears and chain assemblies.
2) I Have replaced the pistons and wrist pins
3) New rings and honed the cylinders
4) Checked all the rods for straightness and size of small and large ends.
5) Replaced the crank and bearings.
6) had right bank cylinder head repaired (dropped valve seat)
7) Replaced left bank cylinder head another dropped valve seat.
With all i have done and replaced you would think there would be no problems what so ever.NOT SO
I still have a clicking noise when i turn the assy. I have not installed the cylinder heads so it is not a head or timing gear or chain noise. There are a lot of good people out there in dodge land and i hope someone can possibly give me an insight as to what is causing this. Also i might add i have been a mechanic for about 40 years and have never run into this type of issue in any other brand of engine. Has dodge gone off the deep end with the 2.7, 3.7 and 4.7 engines?
Truck has only 81k on it .
