i have an 01 1500 single cab dodge pickup with 5" skyjacker lift, a leveling kit and a 3" body lift. I want to run 42" tires on it. I am doing an axle swap from a dana 44 to dana 60 front and rear. Can i put three quarter ton coil springs on and get more lift???? I am currently running 38" swampers now and I can fit 40" tires without rubbing but not 42's... I need about 2 to 3 more inches of lift...
With the skyjacker lift didnt it come with new red coils. Coils off a three quarter ton would lower it. Doesnt top gun customz make 7" coils. not sure though
Why not order up 7" SJ coils for a 1/2 ton? Be aware, you are maxing out the arms with a 5" kit with 7" coils. Will pull the axle back a bit. Will ride rough as hell.
Just get new coils, by using coils off a three quarter ton thats the same length is not going to make it any higher. It will reduce some sagging, but not enough to make it worth the wild & like some said above, its going to make it ride rougher!
