Pure Performance 2500/3500 Steering Kits.

Pure Performance is getting ready to release their steering upgrade kits.

One will be intended for trucks with 4-6" of lift and the other is for trucks with 7-9" of lift.

Both of these kits will include a 1 5/8" solid Chromoly tie rod and a drag link built out of 1 1/2" AISI 1020 CR Steel. It will also include their custom machined drag link adjuster and a steering stabilizer bracket that uses the 08.5-up style steering dampener. Both kits will require you to drill out your passenger knuckle to accept the 2 supplied opposing tapered sleeves. This allows you to then run Ford SuperDuty tie rod ends on the passenger side. The advantage of these is that they are not only more robust than the Dodge parts but it converts the steering over to a true crossover style as opposed to the t-style or y-style that it would be replacing.

This change in geometry also creates 3" of steering correction so you can run a stock pitman arm with Pure's new 4-6" track bar drop bracket kit. For the guys running 4-6" of lift this will be a better setup than the usual drop pitman arm and stock steering component combination. This kit will reuse the stock 08.5+ tie rod end at the pitman arm and the drivers side knuckle along with the drivers side adjuster.

For the guys running more than 6" of lift they will have another kit that requires the use of a drop pitman arm, a Jeep JK tie rod end at the pitman arm, and Pure's 7-9" track bar drop bracket kit. This combination will give you 6" of total steering correction like in the picture below.

Both steering kits will retail for $499 and you will source your own tie rod ends to keep the price markup to a minimum. Pure will have the tie rod end part numbers listed shortly and you will be able to source them at places like RockAuto.com or your local Napa store.

I will add a link to these kits on our site as soon as I get it updated.

7-9" kit installed with the Pure drop pitman arm and the 7-9" track bar drop bracket kit. This truck has 8" of lift on it.
