2004 Neon Idle Problems

I'm hoping someone can help me fix my Neon. It has developed a slight idle problem. I don't know to describe it but it has a hesitation when it is idling. It becomes more noticeable when it is gear but it seems to always be there. But on the other hand it doesn't idle rough all the time. But always when I put it in gear. I have put two different kinds of fuel system cleaner in it and that hasn't helped. I have replaced the coil, the idle air mixture, and throttle position sensor and nothing seems to have helped it. Do I need to take it to a shop and have them look at it or is there something else I can try. I have also noticed my fuel mileage go down. We are talking 12 to 14 mpg. I keep looking for the V8 under the hood but all I see is a little 2.0 four cylinder motor. Anyone have any advice?
