2002 dodge stratus squeaking noise front driver side

I have a strange noise that sounds like a rocking chair moving coming from the front end. It makes this noise 2 seconds before I stop and also right after I take off. Maybe it's suspension related or caliber's? ANYBODY have this problem or know what is wearing out to make a creeking noise? There are new brakes on the car so its not pads. HELP

Yea, I had that same problem in my 04 Stratus ES. They had to replace my suspension TWICE. I have had it in the dealer ship over 6 times. It boggled many people's minds. It ended up being:

Rivets
Stearing column
Pin
Two bearings
Stearing gear mounting bushings
Bolts on the rack needed to be greased


All this was replaced on the car. Actually by coincidence when the rack was replaced the problem came back and that was because that rack was damaged, by coincidence. So that was replaced twice. I gathered all this from my order/service sheet. Luckily I had the new car warranty. My noise only occured when I slowed down right before I stoped or made a turn into parking spots. Originally it was on the drivers side then as time went on it became worse and started both sides and people could hear it over my radio whenever I made a turn. They thought I was makeing popcorn.

I don't know what model of Stratus you have, but it's very common for the 3.0L motor mounts to go bad and that's what they sound like.
I know very little about the 2.7L or the I4s, but it's worth looking into.

If you do have the 3.0L, the mount is located just behind the washer bottle, right by the wheel well. It has 3 tapered bolts facing up. It's a one-piece replacement part...no pressing mounts in or out. Just have to put a board across the oil pan and jack the motor up nice & easy (after the nuts have been removed, of course).
