Acceleration Problem

On acceleration and on idle, 2001 Stratus 4 cyl. cars chugs, misses and jerks. Have to shift into neutral at stop lights/signs to keep it from dying. On occasion it has died and then not started. Ran diagnostic checks and there were no codes. Can anyone help us out? Is this a fuel related problem? No service lights are coming on. Fuel filter, fuel pump, O2 sensor, vacuum leak? The car has high miles...106,000. Could this be part of the problem? Anything?
