Unfortunately it is time to let go, nothing does last forever.
Blue Thunder has been in my family ever since 1984, when my Dad needed a vehicle to feed his new wife and oldest child (me). I have driven it to and from college (I am 19 years old) with hopes of keeping it myself, and I have started several threads and even had a signature concerning this truck...but now age has taken its toll. December 1971 to April 2005: that's 33 years of service without any kind of body work to it. Today is its last day in the family, as it will be given to a charity. A 1972 regular cab/long bed Dodge Adventurer D-100 equipped with a 318 and a A-727 TorqueFlite automatic...goodbye Blue Thunder!   |

Hey! You're doing to your truck just what I was gonna do to mine!!!! Darn it!!!
To answer your question: I am 19 years old...in College training to be a GM Certified Automotive Technician while working part time for my "hands-on training hours". Due to the lack of money I am currently living with my family. My Mom owns a van, my Dad owns a '98 Ram...and I owned the '72 Blue Thunder and an '86 Tercel. Since my younger brother just bought his car and has nowhere to put it (we live in a rather tightly packed neighborhood), my Dad decided it was time to get rid of the truck. Because he's feeding me free food, I couldn't fight it.
