  '87 W100 In-Line 6 Carb? / Emissions - Posted: 03-07-2005, 02:11 PM

I have an 87 Dodge Ram 100 with an in-line slant 6 that needs a new carburetor. It is a single barrel but that is about all I can tell about it. As I am having trouble passing emmission test, I have been told that replacing the carb is the next step. Does anyone know what type of carb I would need as a replacement? Hopefully with a new carb, I will also get an increase in power. Power is currently lacking at acceleration. Any other recommendations regarding passing emmissions would be greatly appreciated as well.

Your carb. is a Holley (type 1945). A new one can be had at Advance Auto Parts.

If equipped, you need to make sure your smog pump is functioning, and that the air injection lines are in good shape, EGR valve is funtioning, and that the catalytic converter is present and in good shape.
