I'm planning on rewiring and redoing a 1978 Dodge Custom D100 2wd 225 Slant 6 Automatic into a 318 or 383 monster in later part of this hopefully. Where is the best place to locate the things I need? tjfarrand@hotmail.com

Welcome to DodgeTalk! Your best bet is to post this over in the subforum for those older trucks so folks who also own them will be able to help you out.

I recommend finding a complete V8 donor truck from a junkyard and buy the whole thing if the price is right. Anything from late 70's-mid 80's would be okay. This way you have everything you need right where your working.

A big-block donor truck may be harder to find since the last big-block Ram was built in '78 or '79. If the big block swap is what you want, the 383 is good, but a 440 is better.
