I am a new member. I would like to get information about changing the 360 carburetor engine to a 360 FUEL INJECTED engine, or changing to a 6Cly commins diesel. I would like to get a list together for each type of engine swap. I would also like the pros and cons with each swap. If anyone has tried this, you can directly e-mail me at hgn1551@yahoo.com. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I won't get into the diesel engine, but recommend the 360. You can swap in a 360 Magnum (1992-up) engine without much headaches. Best thing is to find a donor truck and get as many parts as you can off of it. You'll definitely need the computer and the wiring harness. The Magnum 360 was rated at 245 net horsepower and your engine was rated around 175-210 net HP at best.
