1987 dodge pickup won't start

Inherited a 1987 dodge pickup 318 auto. Aunts boyfriend broke key in ignition one night and decided the only way to fix was to change out steering column. Now the truck won't start and has been sitting for awhile. New spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, ignition coil, module. It still has original ignition switch and column, so I plugged old ignition switch harness back in...lights come on but nothing happens when trying to start it but there's a click. The new ignition switch won't do anything, not even click. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

The possibilities seem endless. Do you have a DVOM and a wiring diagram of the Start circuit? Do you know basic DC electricity? Trouble shooting here is what's needed. Some voltage ck's will help to determine and narrow down a course of action.

I know it sounds silly but the collum has 2 plugs. Make sure there both plugged in.
Also check inline fuses under hood.
