I need to know the wiring for my 5.9L LA engine ignition coil. i have a green and a red wire coming from a plug in the firewall, a black wire coming from distributor and a black wire with a resistor (I think) on the end going to ground.

Maybe this will help. The top one is for a vehicle with the spark control computer and the bottom is for one without. As for the thingy with the black wire on it. That is the condensor or suppresor depending on what each person calls it. I don't see it in the schematics, but I do believe that it should go on the negative side of the coil. It is there to reduce radio noise interferance.
