What ever happened to the 300M engine/tranny for our vans?

I heard a couple years back that Chrysler was going to offer this combo for the mini vans. What happened?

Got scrapped due to the recession. Not enough money in the budget for a R/T caravan. Would've been one hell of a van though. Could've given those ricers hell in a van, WAHOOO!!!!
