2nd gen topper on 3rd gen

as the title say will a topper fit off a 2nd gen on my 03 both are short beds

Fit? Yes,sort of.
Pretty? Eh, so so. The 2nd Gen cab rear is straight as an arrow. My 3rd Gen '03 has a shallow,concave curve to it. The topper on my '99 managed to mount up on the '03 but you could tell it was off a bit.Didn't seem to leak though. HTH J P.S. Found a pict. Doesn't show much but you can see how short the earlier shell is at the back of the cab.
