Bilstein 5100 in rear?

Ok guys I've seen lots with 5100s in the front, but can you put the same adjustable 5100s in the rear? I want to put a rcx 6" and bilsteins maxed in the front on my 09. But instead of using the a TGC rear spacer can you just use the adjustable 5100s and set it where u want depending on how much rake you want??? Is anybody running these?

No. The front uses struts and the rear are standard shocks

Thanks for the info, I'd like to upgrade my shock in the rear from the rcx shock, should I go to the bilstein 5125 or do u recommend something else?

My RCX shocks lasted less then a week before leaking. I replaced them with Fox Racing 2.0s from a BDS 6" lift

Just looked at BDS's website. Did you purchase the Fox shocks for the 3" or 5" kit? Anyone have any part numbers for the rear 5125 shocks that work with a 6" lift?

Ok. Just got off the phone with RCX and Bilstein. The measurements of the rear shocks needed for a 6" lift (4.5" lift rear) are 16" collapsed and 29" extended. The kicker is that Bilstein 5125 only have two shocks around that size: 33-104652 (17" collapsed and 28" extended) or the 33-185569 (17.91" collapsed and 29.7" extended).

So which Bilstein 5125 is everyone using?

Talked to several different people and it looks like Bilstein 5125 part # 33-104652 (17" collapsed, 28" extended) is the rear shock to get for a 6" lift. Just placed my order. Good luck!

They're for the 5" as the RCX kit lifts the rear approx 4.5"

Correct part number for rear Bilstein 5125s is 33-187228. I find out the hard way that the other shocks (#33-104652 (17" collapsed, 28" extended)) are too short even though Bilstein confirmed that they were the right ones for that size of lift. I have the 33-187228 installed now and am happy with the ride. Still rides as good as stock.
