I bought a 1995 dodge ram van and sold my 1994 thing is I still have the factory service manuals from the 94 is there a big difference between the 94 and 95 for example i want to change my tranny fluid and filter and adjust the low reverse and kick down bands are thoughs specs any different?

As long as it is the same transmission the 94 specs will work just fine. Very little difference between the 94 -97 vans. Biggest difference is 95/96 where the computer was changed from OBD-I to OBD-II.

The sticker under the hood is faded on the part that has the info on the tranny how do i know what tranny i have?

thanks for the tranny site that's pretty good but i still don't know what tranny i have because the one they showed was for a 1992 dakota and doesn't look anything like mine in the picture. The one they show is an A518 four wheel drive.

Which pan gasket matches yours? Do you have OD? Process of elimination...
The 4WD does have a different tail housing but your '94 FSM should have an illustration of what a 2WD (A727,A500 or A518) looks like. Last edited by VanMoreSon : 11-15-2012 at 08:43 PM. |
