2006 Durango with an intermittent radio

We have a 2006 Durango with a RAQ 6 CD radio in it. Here lately the radio has become intermittent. Sometimes it works and more often it doesn't. What could be causing this? I have tried pulling the battery and the IOD fuse. Sometimes the radio works just fine and other time it won't turn on. You can make the clock display for a few seconds by pressing the time button.

You probably need to replace it.

They have poor reliability and i would suggest an aftermarket unit with the CANBUS interface to keep the steering wheel controls, etc...

I still have that problem. I almost forgot about it until it started happening again. I brought it to the dealer when it was still fairly new but could never duplicate the problem while I was actually there. I'm about to replace it with an aftermarket one. Just waiting for the new bezel to come in.

I have the occasional radio problem too. I've found that if I shut the car down and let it sit a few minutes, it resets. If it gets any worse, I'll replace it.
