I agree, the chevy is becoming very out dated. I mean how long has chevy been using that same radio and dash bezel style for?

that radio layout has been in effect since mid year 07.5 trucks.

I bet in an actual side by side test with similar gear ratios the Ram will win.

The "let's torque brake the EB so it wins" isn't exactly my idea of a fair test. Also considering most of the guys on here get better then 7.5 sec to 60 makes me think, how can this guy be that bad of a driver.

Not bashing at all. However you just proved that YOU are one sided and it's either dodge or fail.

My statement was two sided and could flow either way.

Plus, I'm a Dodge owner too. I drive an 01 Durango and a 2012 2500. And own a ford. I roll on both sides (FYI, the new fords are junk)

I didn't think the 8-speed would be mated to the HEMI until somewhere in the 2013 calendar year, and that for right now the HEMI would be still using the "6-speed". There doesn't appear to be any improvement in performance with the new gearing. Something doesn't seem right.

I too had to laugh when he power torqued the F-150 to beat the Ram.

Would be interesting to find out what rear gear ratio is under those two.

Best guess would be a 3.55 under the Ram and 3.72 under the Ecoboost.

True, but some of us have had better times in the 1/4 when we take off with out giving it any gas before the green light.

The 8 speed Rams provided to the press for recent eval were the new V-6 models. They run the 0-60 in the 7.5 second range, too. The Hemi ram will be no slower than previous, so I doubt this is a Hemi equipped Ram in the test.

Personally I don't really care...at the end of the day its still the same story...Fords look like girlie trucks with crap interiors and a V6 for fuel economy. Ford shows its technology alright..they can't make a 19-21 MPG V8 so lets mate a turbo to our V6. Place the two side by side and I promise you I'll get more compliments on my truck than that pos ford.

Two final drive ratios, 3.21 and 3.55, are available on both the 2WD and 4WD models, reducing engine rpm throughout the operating range for better fuel economy. Two higher ratios are also available.
Four-wheel drive models of the 2013 Ram 1500 use a front axle designed for optional air suspension or standard torsional independent front suspension, incorporating half-shafts that drive front hubs. The axle also has a disconnect system that automatically disengages the axle when four-wheel drive mode is disengaged, for increased fuel economy.
The rear axle uses a new optional air suspension or multi-link mounting design to facilitate a coil- spring setup, with forward-facing shock absorber brackets. Four gear ratios are available: 3.21, 3.55, 3.92 and 4.10.
An optional helical-gear limited-slip rear axle is optional; it instantaneously divides torque between the rear wheels in proportion to the traction available to each wheel. The system is smooth when turning corners because it responds only to variations in traction.
