alright so personally i like smoke.. i just bought my dads 2000 Ram CTD and about to start modding it. it smokes alright as it is and that is more then enough for me. but out of curiousity, what do you do to make MORE Smoke?...generally im curious to how it works.. can you just adjust something?

if you have alot of smoke.. that means you need more air right? im a diesel newby but iLOVE this truck. has 4" straight pipe exhaust, and a Super Chips tuner, about to tear the running boards off tonight and order me a 5" tip tomorrow and probably order a set of 20" rims to go with the free 35x12.50x20 Toyo Mt's i have in our used section at work.. im acting like a little kid im so excited. lol thanks guys.

Smoke is unburnt fuel exiting the exhaust. You are putting out the fire inside the motor wasting fuel and likely losing some power. Go to cumminsforum and competition diesel regarding upgrades but I wouldn't ask how to make smoke/role coal or you'll be flamed pretty bad.

Excessive smoke can be hard on folks with breathing difficulties.

with 98.5 trucks and new, it's all in the tune, unless you throw a huge turbo on that never spools, or a super small turbo that can't handle the fuel. or huge injectors and pumps. Then you'll smoke great, and get a lot of chit for doing it. The less smokey you are, the more power you'll make, and the faster it'll spool, and mileage, heat, etc....

So does the flatbrim and the white sunglasses coming with this mod as well? Or is it too late.

Try dumping some transmission oil down your exhaust, that should do the trick
