Does anyone know the size of the oil pan bolts? I want to replace my leaking oil pan gasket, and I want to use the oil pan tools to help with that.

What is oil pan tools besides normal socket and wrench? Also 5/16 might fit but it is metric.

So 8mm then?

The "tools" are these:

The screw into four corners of the block, and you can clip the gasket and pan into them. A set was included when I did my sister's Sable. They made the job a whole lot easier because the pan and gasket stay in alignment 1/2" from the gasket surface.

Install these and never worry about a leak from bolts coming loose.

These are just for install, once the pan is bolted up, you use a flatblade screwdriver and remove the tools, then you put in regular bolts.
