how to sync dodge ram garage door

Hey guys I got a 2011 RAM and I want to subversive it to my garage door. I read the manual but it don't work right. I do have a button on back of motor to give code out any ideas.

Sub'd. Mine didn't work either.

Ok mine was a pain in the ass also....

Follow the manual to clear the codes....then try to sync it with your existing remote. If that doesn't work, DO NOT CLEAR THE CODES AGAIN. Do the process for the rolling code option. You should be set then.

When I did mine, I was clearing the codes in between tries as it tells you to do. BUT that doesn't work. Give it a shot....

Okay I will try it. Also in the manual it says look at indicator light flashing and stuff were us this light lol.

That light is on the EVIC....it will say 'Transmitting' or something like that.

if anyones needing help still let me know, but for me my trucks instructions did not work, however the wifes vans instructions worked on both vehicles.

Im intersested in this thread, how would I know if my truck can do this? I have an SLT. Can someone give me some info?

My problem is I have been able to program the first remote button, but have not been able to program either of the other two. I have three doors I'd like to have programed. Can't get anymore than one to work at a time.

three buttons in center console on the ceiling/roof...if you got em, you should be able to.

mines a slt and i have the option

Yeah thanks sean Ill look when I get my truck back from the dealer, I figured I had it because I knew you had an SLT truck also.

it took me a 18 months to hook mine up - but its great to have working...no low batteries no remotes cutting up your visor....

from 2012 caravan manual, worked for me on my 2010 Ram, Ram instructions didnt work for me.

Some door openers just don't work. I have two in my shop that I couldn't program into my truck. I have tried two other Dodge Rams and couldn't get them to program either. My brother has the same door opener at home and couldn't get his to program either. All 3 are sears remotes. I got both doors in my big shop to program without a problem on my Ram.

I think the biggest issue is whether or not the opener uses the rolling codes or not. My opener I used one set of instructions and my dad's old stanely opener I just copied the code from his remote like the van instructions spell out above.

Couldn't get mine to work on my Genie Excelerator Garage door opener. Tried everything under the sun. Gonna call the company tomorrow and ask them what's up.
