Not sure if this is the right place for it but i figured it would work....

Has anyone had their ETC warning light come on while driving then go out and not come back on after shutting it off and then starting it back up? Today it came on while on when i was accelerating to get on the interstate it it started to act really weird and bog down when i pressed on the accelerator and was flashing the whole time.... and when i stopped at a red light, it acted like it wanted to stall on me, so I pulled off on the side of the road, shut off the engine, then started it back up and the light went off. Also, the engine light came on with the ETC light and that has since turned off too. Could it be because it is electronic & when I restarted the engine it reset or corrected itself? I assume this is something i should get fixed right away?

It could be the TB itself, maybe the APPS sensor also

its an 04... i searched but not very hard i guess then if there are a few threads.
is it something bad? cause my local dealership ran the diognostics and they found nothing because the light turned off, so what should i do about it if they cant find what is wrong with it?

As long as the light is off, nothing would be flagged unless the CEL came on and an OBDii code was logged and retained in the PCM.

Best you can do at this point is hold out and see if the issue comes back and then try to isolate and repair the condition from there

Do a search on "red lightning bolt" Or "ETC"
There will be some good reads foryou..

I had the same problem this winter.. And it has not came back.
However extreeme cold temps can cause it.. so dodge says. However since its june.. I know thats not your problem

I had that light come on twice on my 04. The first time was this past winter, i think the temp got down to 2 that morning and the second time was during a burnout on my old tires...a key-cycle fixed it the first time and the 2nd time the light turned off on its own. I haven't had any further probs.

I had the same warning light start about 3months ago. Slowly increased over a month until it one morning would no go away Was able to get the error code by flipping the ignition on/off 3 times. Not sure if there are other codes for that warning light but my was 2175. Did a search and found a TB cleaning how-to in the tech write-ups. I cleaned the TB and had the had the fuel system cleaned (by a shop, not just the fuel add) and have not had an issue since, about 2k miles.
