And these are safe to run on factory wiring? Which would I need for a 2004 Durango?

Very safe to run off the factory wiring.
An 04 Durango would take a 3156 for this particular type of bulb.

The 3156 version are now back in stock again. All those waiting on the back ordered ones, you should start receiving your orders as soon as Monday.

The 3156 are also now a different design, and all other models will follow suit in following production and after current stock is sold. The new models are the same as the previous models with the addition of radial LEDs on the sides of the bulb. This new design was developed specifically for vehicles in which the reverse bulbs are pointed in a cross-eyed alignment across the back, in which the visibility to other drivers became limited with the previous version.

Any vehicle that calls for a 3157 reverse bulb would need to use the 3156 model bulb. So yes, you would end up with the latest and greatest!

Unfortunately at present we do not see that it would be possible to drop the price much due to their cost. Funny thing is we see 2W and 3W versions of these being sold for the same price.
