Hi

I still don't have door weatherstripping/seals for my 82 Van for the side 2 piece doors and rear 2 piece doors. I checked at www.chryslerpartsdirect.com Online catalog, but they don't have them any more - discontinued.
But I noticed that they have this seals for the 91-93 Van. On the outside they look the same, also the doors are the same. Can anyone tell me if this seals will fit to my 82 or not?

Thank you

Do you know anyone with a 91-93 Ram Van? If so, maybe you can look at those first.

Checking their catalog, it shows 78-90 for door weatherstripping. Pretty pricey. Here is the URL for the "Rear loading doors":

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...85&catalogid=2

Here's the URL for the "Side loading door" but they only have a listing for the rear (or LH) side door. That rear-most door has the lower left corner cutoff at an angle. Then (I believe) you would need a right-hand rear door WS for the front (or RH) side door as they should be the same. Their catalog is a little confusing and there's no pics, so DO MAKE SURE you know what you're getting if you order from them:

Yes, I find this seals also, but for the side doors they have only one and not the other, so I wrote them an email if they will have the other one also, but reply from them was that they don't have this seals at all despite that they are in the catalog.
They said that all door seals for dodge van 78-90 are discontinued, they will not produce them any more, thats why I ask if seals for 91-93 will fit, becouse they still have them.
I'm from Slovenia-Europe and in my country we have only couple of dodge van's, and no one is year 91-93, thats why I ask here you boys if someone knows if seals from 91 will fit to 82.

Thank you

Oh,wasted effort then. There may be some difference I'm not aware of but really they should be the same up to '93. I can take pics of what's on my '91 and send them to you. Maybe you could tell if they were close enough to fit an '82.

You can get a kit over at JC Whitney for about $24. It comes with 15' of door weather stripping and the cement to install it. You just have to cut the excess off.

It's Product Number: 18603G

This link probably won't work but try it anyway.

This kit is ok for the front doors, but side and back doors have customs molded seals, that has bigger end. I have this kind of seals now in my van, but there is some gap when I closed doors, thats why I would like to buy original one, when it's raining I have water inside.

Having the same problem with my '83. Any help is greatly appreciated. I checked the JC Whitney link. Which style would work better, D or L?

When visiting SEMA last year I ran into a large door seal manufacturer and we started talking. Ended up mailing my 77 door seals off to them last week, and after some design time they will have a new set available for all of us 71-78 restorers. After 78 is something they might listen to, but first we need to sell some of the first set to show them there is demand.

From what I know the 71 -77 is the 1st body style of the B-van and uses seals on the body above the cargo doors that is ~ 1/2" in cross-section.
The 78-93 is the 2nd body style, 78 being a cross-over year for some parts. I have a 78 and it has no seal on the body. The rear door opening on a 78 is the same size/shape as the earlier models, I swapped a 77 barn door onto my 78.(The front suspension and change from B-100/200/300 to B-150/250/350 occured in 79.)
94-? are a different bodystyle yet and the designation of B-1500/2500/3500 occured.

Over at moparbvans there has been much disgussion on this subject.
