2004 no heat only blows cold air

Just started today, no heat. Is there a heater control valve? Is the heater core stopped up? Any ideas. I'll start working on it tomorrow morning. Thanks for help.

1st Cheak the coolent level might be low, if it's full feel both heater core hoses to see if one is hotter than the other. Might be clogged.

My wifes dakota used to do that from time to time, I would also check the thermostat and pull off both hoses that go to the heater core ( not at the firewall but where ever the hose connected) and I would flush out the heater core. Top of the radiator and it would run you out of the truck by then.

I hate to go ninja'n people that don't need ninja'n.

Is there no heat on both sides or just one ? If that's the case it could be the famous Door...

Im not sure what clogs them up like that, what scares me actually is that whatever sludge is in there could be in the rest of the engine as well.

What parts do I need to fix the blend door? Is this something I have to get from dealer or can I rig something?

I think I have the same problem.

No heat.

I thought it may be because of my electric waterpump. I run no thermostat, so the pressure to the heater hose is not great. I did had a "****" blocker (restrictive plate) in the top hose.

My heater lines to get hot, so the core is getting hot.

On a recent off-road journey, The heat started working for no reason. Granted, we wore pointed to the sky, and pointing to the devil at times. I thought maybe the extream angles moved out any air bubbles.

But, now I have no heat again.

I just picked up an electric heater.. for now.

Just did the heatertreater blend door fix. Both my doors were broken. This job was very easy to do with minimal parts to be taken off. I highly recommend this to anyone with a blend, mode or recirculation door problem. Took at 3hrs to fix both doors. all for less the $200. Sure beats the $900 the stealership was going to charge and the kit has a steel parts, no more broken doors here. Thanks Chris, you are the man.
