3G ram´s long tubes OBX headers on a 4G?

A friend of mine is selling his 3rd Gen ram 5.7´s OBX long tube headers.
Does anyone knows if this headers would fit on a 4Generation Ram 1500 4x4?...or in other words...
is it posible to put a 3rd gen truck long tube headers on a 4rt gen truck?

If they dont fit, What is needed to make them fit properly?

Thanks.

I'm not too sure if they would fit. When I bought my long tubes, they specifically asked if I had a 4X4 or a 4X2. So, there is a reason why they ask that. Check to see if if those headers were for a 4X2 or 4X4.

Nope and way too much to get them to fit, ARH and Doug Thorley are the only ones currently producing headers for the 4G rams

A member on another forum was looking for headers, I pointed him to Doug Thorley.
His reply from them was they are indefinitely out of stock.

I just sent them an email for confirmation, they are a crappy install so i can definitely see why they would stop producing them. I sent an email to Hooker headers awhile back and they said they are in the works for the future, so who knows. I can see OBX to start producing a set of decent priced headers in the near future

It would be awesome for someone to go through all aftermarket hemi headers and could confirm what hits and what misses.

Previous gen headers will not match up with the heads on our trucks unless you cut off the flanges and have some new ones welded on. The new hemi's have a D shaped port and the old ones have a smaller round port.

09' QC 2wd, Custom Lift with air suspension, Custom fit 2011 2500 front bumper, Challenger style hood, color matched everything, Vararam, SRT8 headers, x-piped side exhaust, 87mm TB, V6 E-Fan, 4.56's, 35/12.50/20's on 20x9 Falken ORC wheels.
2014 Ram Express Black Edition RCSB, 8hp70 8spd, 3.55/LSD. Vararam Air Grabber, Vararam Power chamber, ARH 1 3/4 LT headers, 3"side exit Spintech/Boomtube exhaust, 180 T-Stat, ATI SuperDamper UDP, V6 E-Fan, DS Trinity with Jay Green Tunes, 3/5 BellTech, staggered 32" Nitto 420's, RollPan.

That is true, I may have to go invest on a Magnaflow Y pipe. I am still on the fence about a true dual with X pipe.

Do you still have to do a bunch of cutting and welding to install them? For $658 they should be a direct bolt in!

Still have to cut the flange off before the cats and reweld them on, not really a problem for myself and I'm sure an exhaust shop will do it for a reasonable price, I believe they are already ceramic coated so the price is fair IMO

So what are the advantages between shorties and LT headers. Which is better for our trucks?
