I just got the phone call on the HVAC as code K17

A quick google turned this up:

2009-2010 K17 Recall

2009-2010 (DS) Ram Truck (1500 series)

The HVAC mode door actuator gears on about 225,000 of the above vehicles may

break and result in the inability to fully control the HVAC functions.



All involved vehicles must have updated HVAC control head software installed

and the mode door actuators must be tested and replaced as required.

I just picked my truck up for Service Bulletin K17 and boy does Dodge give them plenty of paid time for this one. Dodge is paying them for 6.8 hours of work. They only had the truck a total of 1 hour and 15 mins.

In that same amount of time they did two additional Rapid Response Transmittals that I wasnt aware of.

RRT 09-095 Belt Molding Inspection and Replacement (2 hours)
RRT 09-096 Center High Mounted Stop Lamp Reseal (.3 hours)

Does the 09-096 pertain to 06s as well or do they have a different #?

I got a call. Couple weeks ago and was told that I didn't need to make a special trip but there was three issues, issue #1- is with front bumper corrosion and it referenced # 10-083, issue #2 was with the fuel filler housing # 10-061, and the last item was with the wireless key # 10-022, so the next day I called my dealer's service department and they said they had received what they called rapid response service bulletins on these items and they would take care off during the next service visit and they had never heard of any truck owner getting a call about items like this, so not sure why We have gotten calls from the 800 number but that was my experience, I will let everyone know how it goes when I take it to the dealership!!

RRT: 11-47 and 11-57. Does anyone know what these are?

FYI.. New recall L-04. Outer Tie rod Ends. Launched 8-15-11 for 09-10 DS in "salt belt states"
Replaces outer tie rods and set toe..

Buddy of mine at another dealer found these for me. Told dealer I bought from and they said sorry we didn't catch them before we delivered to you, bring it in.
