8 to 5 lug wheel adapter?

is there an adapter to fit the 2500 8 lug wheels to a 1500 5 lug wheel hub I searched on net but it seems like they arnt available, or any 2500 knock off wheels with 5 lug pattern?

If I were you I wouldn't use wheel adapters. It's another set of lugs that can get loose. Plus I have read of adapter failure before. I never have run them, and I never will.

Well, from someone that has actually used them, I believe they are fine. I have used them on several vehicles, and ones that actually were used for serious off road use. Never had a problem with loosening or cracking, etc. Spidertrax makes great ones. That being said, im not sure if ive seen ones that adapt from 5 to 8. Good Luck.

I haven't used adapters (but I have used spacers) and with as many people running those as well as 10 lug adapters, I don't see if being an issue.

My advice if you do it though, just be sure to check the lugs ever so often just as you would on your wheels.

They have to be custom made; there was a guy on Ebay that made them, but they are expensive. Also, they are 2 piece, as there is some overlap of the holes. I did a few google searches and came across some information on other forums.

Its kind of hacked to me; but I wanted to put the polished 17" 8 lugs on my truck at one time, which is why I started looking for these.

looks like to much of hassle, might be easier to contact manufacturer and see if they would do a 5 lug set most likely they will be real expensive and not worth it either, to bad bc those 17s look real nice

If I were to do this I would look into changing the hubs to 8 lug.

New truck: White '09 Ram 1500 Hemi Big Horn Crew Cab. Bone stock for now except for a Line-X spray in bed liner.

Old truck: Deep Red '03 Ram 1500 Hemi QC (Lots of mods and goodies over the time I owned it).
