I have a 4.7 V8 Flex Fuel engine and I was wondering which spark plugs would be the best ones for me. I was thinking of the Champion Platinum plugs for my Ram. They any good or should I stick with OEM spark plugs?

Champions are OEM spark plugs.

On a 08 Bosch are factory plugs at least for the top row they are and not even the dodge dealer keeps them in stock.

Should I stick with an OEM type Champion spark plug for $2 or should I bump up and spend about $3 a plug to get the platinums?

I have the 08 with 16 plugs and went with dealership oem Bosch. 1) Because those are all I could find for the top and 2) if I have to change EVERY 30k miles buying a platinum plug does not make sense to me.
I'm not sure if the 07 4.7 need to be changed every 30k or not though.

It says every 30K in the book. The 07 4.7 only has 8 plugs as well.

I just hit 30k and changed them out with OEM. They told me at the dealer that the OEM plugs is more then powerful enough for a stock truck and that the after market ones would be a waste of money. Take that as you will but for the most part my guys have been up front with me for all I have needed to have done.

I just talked to a friend of mine about this issue and he likes the Champion Platinum plugs for his Jeep Liberty because he doesn't have to change them out as often. He also paid about $3 a plug. I just plan on sticking with the Champion OEM plugs I found at Advanced Auto for about $2 a plug. I will be changing out the plugs soon.

If I were to guess without looking at the book, I would say change them bad boys out at 30k. FYI you have 16 plugs.

at just $2 a plug I change them out at 15k, or once a year. Keeps the mpg and performance up. I like the ngk's , ive tried the champ., autolite, bosch, and the truck runs best with them.

Top row of plugs (under coil packs) needs to be replaced every 30k. Bottom row (side of motor, under plug wires) is good until 100k.

At 73k, I'm on my 3rd set of top-row spark plugs, and will likely replace all 16 plugs at 90k.

I have the 08 4.7 as well and just did mine at 32k. Some of those plugs were really burnt and it made me glad I did not wait much longer. After searching at the typical auto stores I ended up going to the dealership for plugs.
***When you go to get plugs, wherever that will be, make sure you get the intake side*** The dumbaces here would not get it through their head that they were giving me the wrong plug EVERY time.
Pretty easy job and actually one of the easiest I've done so far. Check my sig to get a sneak peek, nothing to it. Start with last one on passenger next to the firewall. After that plug, the rest you can do with your eyes closed.

Also after getting email conformation from Dodge.com and 2 dealerships, the rear diff. fluid does not have to be changed out all the time. Some places it says every 15k, but screw that, I have it in writing that it will not void my LPW. Just a FYI I accept no responsibility
