I just bought my first Dodge a few weeks ago ('04 2500QC). Still learning so bear with me, but what is the difference between a 2500 and a power wagon?

The Power Wagon has 4.56 gears, front and rear locking differentials, disconnecting anti-sway bar, and a 12,500lb warn winch hidden behind the bumper. It’s also rated to tow a little less due to the rear springs.

Did I miss anything guys?

So the PW is a basically a 2500 with a few added features right?
Accessories from a PW would fit a 2500? (generally speaking)

They should fit. However, if you're looking at taking your 2500 to the power wagon level, other than the hidden winch setup, you could probably do it for less money going with an aftermarket suspension such as Kore or Carli.

One thing you forgot was the heavy duty price tag.

For what you get, the price is reasonable. I've been adding things to my truck through the years, and had a Power Wagon been available, it would have been a less expensive way to go.

Yeah, I agree with that, it's like putting a straight axle under a 1500, your better off just buying a 2500.

Hey be nice I put a straight axle in my 1500 for less then 1000 bucks. I did all the custom fab work myself which saved me a grip of money. One of the better mods I have done

Dont forget the under carriage protection. The PWs sport extensive skid protection. Might I ask what "accessories" you are interested in adding to your 2500?

Don't forget the larger diameter axle shafts, special wheels with internal "beadlocks", modified gas pedal response in 4-LO, available Power Wagon specific rock rails, suspension about 2" higher than 2500, and the ability to run 35" tires with no modifications. Oh, and the really cool Power Wagon badging :-)

Nothing particular right at the moment. Just curious. Eventually I would like to level it out, change wheels, & add a little larger tire. Nothing drastic, just fill the fender well up a little more....

2500 = able to add plow

PW = no plow...

I'd love a PW, but need ability to put plow on....
