07 5.9 cummins auto, wont start

the batterys are good. (it started this morning) everything come up like normal. (fuel pump, dash lights ect) but when you turn the key there is nothing. the starter selonoid does not get any power at all. could it be a nutral safety switch? (where is it and how can i check it) or a bad starter relay, (that i cannot locate, keep in mind its not my truck) or possably even a bad starter selonoid? are there any common problems we should look at.

more info: the truck is 100% stock. its used for hauling hay for the guys ranch, and to commute to work with. he does not want to mod it.

there is a problem with the ecm.s on the 2007 5.9, mine did the same thing, went in to home depot came out and nothing would not start, all you can do is have it towed to the dealer, there were a total of 5 trucks with the same problem at the same dealer when mine went out last winter. at that time they were on back order due to so many going out. good luck.

How many miles did you have on your trucks when this happened? Just curious cause I have the same truck.

It's probably the trucks computer has lost communication with the chip in the key. It's a problem I have seen guys have before. Have him try a spare key if it has not already been towed....
