roof trim: removal?

Hey guys,

I've recently decided to paint my truck, after already doing the hood...because of the flaking trouble. Now for my trouble.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the trim piece following the top of the door back on an extended cab model? Or even better, if I can buy a new one since I kind of made it look bad trying to remove them. I searched high and low on the internet and dodgeparts trying to figure out the name of it.

It's a 1996 model extended cab.

Thanks a lot!

if its the one that goes from the middle of the front up the a pillar, you have to pull pretty damn hard to get it off from the lowest point backwards. you might have to take the kick panels off too.

The upper horizontal piece is loose, I actually installed my light bar thru that strip and saw the screws were pulling it out some before getting thru body/ cab metal. I've never taken it off, but imagine there plastic clips.
