Tial wastegate was being forced open because the spring is only a 0.4 bar.

i wanna turbo the dakota now. 5.9 turboed 1st gen dakota. itd be the only one out there

Inspected the built motor and found some damage from 2 plugs that came apart last year so I threw in the bone stock heads/cams/shortblock 1997 caravan motor I had siting in the driveway. Its a piece of junk that had a sticky crank and missing valve cover in the junk yard with no hood. oil pan full of water but the yard punched a hole in the pan so it didnt fill up much.
Deep creeped it for a few months and when I installed it 2 weeks ago, we pulled this off after converting it to e85 with the turbo setup. 140 crank hp minivan motor, $90 taking big abuse! 16psi boost. Ran out of fuel cause e85 requires more fuel pump flow. Motor doesnt make the same HP/psi boost but it still performs! Only got one pass cause I forgot the motor leaks from a couple seals. Fixing thats gonna raise the cost of the motor above 90 bucks  Cam seal in the distributor is annoying to fix. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/O...ass_647377.htm 11.95@117.52 on $90 dollar motor that goes about 80mph in the 1/4 stock. |
